What do I know about this?
What do I know about Google earth and voice thread? I know that for voice thread you use it to upload images from your files and for google earth you can pin point places all over the world.
Have I presented material about Google earth and voicethread before? No I have not used voicethread for a presentation before.
Do I understand what I have to do? Is there anything I don’t understand about this activity? Yes I understand what to do and there isn’t anything I don’t understand.
What skills and knowledge will I be using? I will be using all my computer knowledge and skills that I know at the moment.
Identify

What is the task?
How do I want to interest others in my topic? Do I want to present an informative poster that can be used as a reference? I want to interest others in my topic by having really unique ideas and places That I have been studying for my pictures. Yes I do want to present an informative display on Google earth and voicethread and it would be great if it was used as a reference in the future.

What do I need in order to do this? What materials do I have? What resources do I need? Should I do more research on Google earth and voicethread? The materials I have is my laptop. The recourses I have are my laptop and my partner. No i don’t think i have to do any research on google earth and voicethread.
Who will be looking at this work? How can I appeal to other students? The people who will be looking at this work are the people in my class and Mrs Beadle.

Are there examples of Google earth and voicethread posters or materials that I can look at? The people who did this project the previous year.

What are the obstacles? What problems may happen? The problems that may happen are the photos may not upload to voice thread.

Can I draw a diagram that will help me to visualise my work? Draw some rough ideas for posters.
Generate

How many ideas can I think of?
List as many ideas as possible.
What aspects of Google earth and voicethread interest me? What would I want to see on a poster? the aspects that interest me is pretty much everything because i have never used google earth and voicethread.
Consider the advantages and disadvantages of each idea.
Are there any other subjects to consider?

What resources (books, websites, etc.) have I been provided with? Google images.
What do other people think about this? Do others think I have a good idea? Yes i think they think i have a good idea.
Decide

Which is the best idea?
Which are the best ideas? Prioritise the 3-5 best ideas.
Explain your reasons for choosing these. What are the arguments for and against each idea?

Which idea is the best one for completing the task? Which idea is best for accomplishing my goal?

What is my plan? What are the steps to follow?
How will I keep track of my progress? What are my milestones?
Possible list of steps:
· Research and gather material about my subject.
· Revise material and compose text for poster.
· Create graphics.
· Take pictures. Edit pictures.
· Assemble text and images into poster.
· Review poster and modify as needed.




Part Two – Implementing and Evaluating

Do I need to revise my plan? As you continue, you may discover facts that require changing the plan.
Am I satisfied with the text/graphics/pictures that I have created?

Evaluate

How well did I do?
Did I complete the task as originally set out? Did I solve the problem? Yes I did complete the task as originally set out.
Is the text as interesting or informative as intended? Yes I found it really quite informative with the text and location on Google earth.
Are the graphics and images appealing? Yes the pictures are very clear and the graphics a very appealing.

What have I done? I think we have pretty much done everything.
What have I done really well? Is there anything that stands out as particularly good? I think that what I find that stands out are the images that were collected from Google images especially the international ones because they are very good quality considering they are from very far away.

Is there anything that needs improvement? Should I go back and redo anything? No I don’t really think we have to go back and redo anything.

Am I ready to communicate my ideas or show/display my work to others? Is the presentation ready to be shown to others? No because we are still need to upload it to Wikipedia.
Communicate

Who can I tell? Who is my audience? My classmates, Mrs Beadle and my family.

What is the best way to present this to my audience? On Wikipedia and with us actually commenting with our voices.
How do I interest other students in my particular subject? Because they may have never heard of the places or the significance of them.

Did I include the right text/graphics/images to inform and appeal to other students? Yes I think we had text that our audience can understand and inform them properly and also I think that we included the right text graphics and images.

If I had to start this activity all over again, how would I improve my performance? Would I change my work habits? Would I use a different subject or different design? Would I only make small changes?

How have I improved since that last time I worked on a similar task?
